the SWISS Re 460 CAM

This is a live picture taken every fifteen minutes by the camera in the cab of the SBB re460 MySwitzerland.com. It sends a picture update to the computer source every 15 minutes. The delay is approximately five minutes. Of course this provided only if there is power connected. If it is in for service, you won't get many pictures until it is back out on the tracks.

To the left: The camera can be seen on the left-hand side in the front  windshield. The engineer sits next to it. So, both of them have the approximate same view.

To the right: Up close a better view of the camera which can be clearly seen in the front  windshield. Also clearly noticeable in this picture is that direction of travel can be either way. It still takes pictures.

To the right: This is the view of the engineer. The camera is located on the right-hand side of his position in the cab.

To the left: Of course on its way through Switzerland it changes driving directions frequently. Therefore it can happen that all pictures are kind of the same for an extended period of time.

To the right: This is one of the many possibilities: to be coupled against a car. The camera is facing the passenger car. Direction of travel is unknown. The MySwitzerland.com locomotive is primarily used for passenger service.

To the left: Then again another possibility could be to be coupled against an engine. The camera is facing the engine in this picture. Once again direction of travel here is unknown.
